The Eco-Challenge is a special category of TIC Americas that promotes sustainable development in Latin America and the Caribbean through the identification, acceleration and exposure of innovative entrepreneurial proposals able to positively impact the planet and people.

Since its creation in 2009, the Eco-Challenge has supported more than 28,700 young people from 34 countries, who have developed 22,832 innovative solutions that address specific priorities and challenges of the hemisphere.

To achieve its objective, the program seeks young innovators and entrepreneurs from the Member States of the Organization of American States (OAS) and the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) and its Associate Member States, who through their innovative and sustainable solutions contribute to a change that improves our human capital, value chains and business models.
