About

The Talent and Innovation Competitions of the Americas (TIC Americas) have been organized by the Young Americas Business Trust (YABT) since 2007. This program has established itself as a global platform for business support and an accelerator for young entrepreneurs aged 18 to 34, citizens of the member states of the Organization of American States (OAS). TIC Americas provides guidance, training, mentorship, seed capital, investment, and access to an international network of contacts. This program is designed to support entrepreneurs on their growth journey, regardless of their business, model, or solution.

The Start-Up Challenge promotes innovation, development, and digital transformation among young people in the Americas. Designed to foster youth-led ventures, the competition empowers young people as agents of change. By leveraging new technologies and fostering social impact, we aim to ensure the participation of citizens living abroad, safeguarding the environment, and creating equal opportunities for all.

The Start-Up Challenge will identify and award innovative solutions and new business models that promote innovation, development, digital transformation, connectivity, and emerging technologies. Through the virtual training platform, Business Opportunity Online Training Camp (BOOT Camp), coordinated by YABT, young entrepreneurs can connect with industry experts to develop strategies for designing and implementing their business solutions. In this way, the program also acts as a business development support platform providing skills-building, mentorship, and visibility opportunities, helping young entrepreneurs to establish, operate and scale micro and small enterprises.
