Participation in the Start-Up Challenge, a special category of the Talent and Innovation Competitions of the Americas (TIC Americas) program – the youth participation component of the Summit of the Americas – implies an agreement to abide by these Official Rules, Terms, and Conditions.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) Use

  1. AI may be used to enhance the structures, key points, or general ideas of the Material Competitions, however, all content, intellectual property, and knowledge must be developed by Team members. The use of AI tools must adhere to “Responsible Practices for Synthetic Media of the Partnership on AI (PAI)” available here.
  2. Participants using AI for market data collection, competitive analysis, or projection generation must cite all data sources, validate the accuracy of the information presented, and provide justifications demonstrating its viability within the project’s specific context.
  3. AI-generated subtitles or voice-overs for videos must be thoroughly reviewed to ensure accuracy, clarity, and alignment with the project’s message.
  4. Teams must include a section in each Material Competition detailing how AI was utilized, specifying the tools used, the scope of AI assistance, and any modifications made to the generated content.
