Mentors are optional, and Teams are not required to include a Mentor in their Team Profile to compete in InnovAction 2.0. Teams may select their own Mentor(s). Mentors are registered at the time of Team registration. Mentors may not participate or be present in the Team presentations during the Finals (see E. Competition Rounds, Selection and Awarding of Winners). There is no restriction regarding the age, nationality, experience, or education of the Mentors.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The following individuals are ineligible to participate as mentors:\u00a0<\/span><\/p><ul><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">InnovAction judges;\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">YABT Staff and members of its national chapters;<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">YABT officials and members of its Board of Directors;<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">IAF staff, contractors, and members of its Board of Directors and Advisory Council; and<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Organization of American States\u2019 General Secretariat personnel;\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Immediate family or household members of anyone mentioned above.\u00a0<\/span><\/li><\/ul><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mentors participate on a voluntary basis and will not be paid by the team, by YABT, the IAF, Sponsors, InnovAction, or other partners.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mentors provide volunteer support and guidance to Teams during InnovAction 2.0.
