Each Scoring Element has individual criteria (\u201cScoring Criteria\u201d). Judges will assign points to each Scoring Criteria according to the following scale:<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><table><tbody><tr><td><p>0<\/p><\/td><td><p>= Does not meet the criteria at all or attempt to \u2013 Unacceptable.<\/p><\/td><\/tr><tr><td><p>1<\/p><\/td><td><p>= Meets some criteria but unacceptable &#8211; Very poor.<\/p><\/td><\/tr><tr><td><p>2<\/p><\/td><td><p>= Meets the criteria minimally \u2013 Poor.<\/p><\/td><\/tr><tr><td><p>3<\/p><\/td><td><p>= Meets the criteria but does not exceed it \u2013 Adequate.<\/p><\/td><\/tr><tr><td><p>4<\/p><\/td><td><p>= Meets criteria and substantially exceeds it \u2013 Good.<\/p><\/td><\/tr><tr><td><p>5<\/p><\/td><td><p>= Meets criteria and demonstrates highest excellence and superiority \u2013 Excellent.<\/p><\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><strong>Semi-Finals Evaluation Criteria<\/strong><\/p><p>Judges will evaluate Competition Materials during the Semi-Finals according to the following Scoring Elements and Scoring Criteria.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><table><tbody><tr><td><p><strong>Scoring Element<\/strong><\/p><\/td><td><p><strong>Scoring Criteria<\/strong><\/p><\/td><td><p><strong>Weight<\/strong><\/p><\/td><\/tr><tr><td colspan=\"2\"><p><strong>A) Business Plan<\/strong><\/p><\/td><td><p><strong>75%<\/strong><\/p><\/td><\/tr><tr><td><p>Innovation and Category Relevance<\/p><\/td><td><ul><li>The business plan presents a creative, realistic, measurable solution or novelty in which it centers its concept proposal.<\/li><li>The business plan clearly presents how the solution (or adaptation of an existing solution) is different and improves current results or conditions.<\/li><li>The business plan addresses the overarching challenge of InnovAction: recovery from COVID-19.<\/li><li>The business plan demonstrates a response or direct connection to one of the four categories of InnovAction.<\/li><\/ul><\/td><td><p>20%<\/p><\/td><\/tr><tr><td><p>Market feasibility<\/p><\/td><td><ul><li>Presents a clear preliminary analysis of the community or market where the business plan will operate.<\/li><li>The market study addresses specific needs, a market opportunity or demand.<\/li><li>The business plan clearly indicates how its benefits\/features will be delivered and\/or expanded according to demand \/ opportunity \/ needs.<\/li><li>Demonstrates operational, technical, economic feasibility of implementation.<\/li><\/ul><\/td><td><p>20%<\/p><\/td><\/tr><tr><td><p>Management Feasibility<\/p><\/td><td><ul><li>Provides appropriate organizational structure: mision, vision, objectives, team or organizational chart with clear roles and diversity among Team Members, Mentors, and volunteers.<\/li><li>Demonstrates organizational capabilities or assets: physical spaces or equipment from where to operate, products or services, patents (if applicable), prototype (if applicable).<\/li><li>Demonstrates an opportunity for engagement via on-line tools: website, app, virtual community, blog or group, virtual marketing channel, social media accounts, newsletters, among others.<\/li><\/ul><\/td><td><p>15%<\/p><\/td><\/tr><tr><td><p>Financial Feasibility<\/p><\/td><td><ul><li>Clearly states how much capital\/investment is needed to launch \/ operate annually and the sources of capital.<\/li><li>Presents a solid, clear operational budget.<\/li><li>Demonstrates efficiency in its financial structure and forecast.<\/li><li>Demonstrates a social investment opportunity to support the development of the solution, project, business proposal or idea.<\/li><\/ul><\/td><td><p>20%<\/p><\/td><\/tr><tr><td colspan=\"2\"><p><strong>\u00a0B) Community Engagement<\/strong><\/p><\/td><td><p><strong>15%<\/strong><\/p><\/td><\/tr><tr><td><p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p><\/td><td><ul><li>Demonstrates a clear strategy to work with community organizations and social groups in the development of the business or initiative.<\/li><li>Incorporates plans and a vision for improving the lives of community members where the initiative will be implemented, or the business will operate.<\/li><li>Community members are engaged in and contributed to the development of the business concept and the sustainability strategy.<\/li><\/ul><\/td><td><p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p><\/td><\/tr><tr><td colspan=\"2\"><p><strong>C) Marginalized Populations Representation<\/strong><\/p><\/td><td><p><strong>10%<\/strong><\/p><\/td><\/tr><tr><td><p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p><\/td><td><ul><li>Team Members are representatives of Afro-descendant, Indigenous, LGBTI, people with disabilities, migrants\/refugees, and\/or other marginalized communities.<\/li><li>The business plan involves and actively engages with Afro-descendant, Indigenous, LGBTI, people with disabilities, migrants\/refugees, and\/or other marginalized communities as a targeted population.<\/li><\/ul><\/td><td><p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p><\/td><\/tr><tr><td><p><strong>Total<\/strong><\/p><\/td><td><p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p><\/td><td><p><strong>\u00a0100%<\/strong><\/p><\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><h3>\u00a0<\/h3><p><strong>Finals category?<\/li><li>How well does the overall business plan present the idea and its elements?<\/li><li>How feasible is the business solution, initiative, or idea in real market conditions?<\/li><li>How clear is the operational, technological, support network and economic feasibility of the business?<\/li><li>How does the business solution, initiative, or idea improve or transform the lives of the community where it will operate and how do they present evidence of this?<\/li><\/ul><\/td><td><p>25%<\/p><\/td><\/tr><tr><td><p>Presentation<\/p><\/td><td><ul><li>How effectively and compellingly does the team present the business plan?<\/li><li>How well does the presentation demonstrate personal teamwork and cooperation?<\/li><li>How clear is the verbal presentation of the business plan and activities?<\/li><li>How attractive is the visual presentation when displaying graphic elements to expose the business idea and activities?<\/li><\/ul><\/td><td><p>20%<\/p><\/td><\/tr><tr><td><p>Visual Portfolio<\/p><\/td><td><ul><li>How effective does the image or visual portfolio (video, photo gallery, blog, website, etc) present the product or service\u2019s features\/characteristics?<\/li><li>How well does the promotional material present an image of quality for the business and summarize the business idea?<\/li><li>How well does the image or visual portfolio demonstrate innovative design \/ functionality?<\/li><\/ul><\/td><td><p>15%<\/p><\/td><\/tr><tr><td colspan=\"2\"><p><strong>B) Financial and Investment Strategy<\/strong><\/p><\/td><td><p><strong>20%<\/strong><\/p><\/td><\/tr><tr><td><p>\u00a0<\/p><\/td><td><ul><li>Clearly states capital investment and the sources of capital.<\/li><li>Explains well a Social Return of Investment opportunity.<\/li><li>Demonstrates an opportunity for the industry\/ international community to support the development of the solution,
