mi-BiomarK is an early diagnostic tool based on nanomedicine that enables cancer detection from a blood sample—quickly, affordably, and without the need for complex infrastructure. It uses nanoparticles to identify tumor biomarkers, such as microRNAs, through a visible color change that can be observed with the naked eye.
This technology is designed to facilitate early-stage diagnosis, when survival rates are higher but symptoms are not yet apparent. Unlike traditional methods that are expensive, slow, and require specialized personnel, mi-BiomarK offers a portable, cost-effective, and efficient alternative.
We are currently validating our technology in silico and in vitro, and have demonstrated high structural specificity and amplification potential. Our vision is to close the gap in access to cancer diagnostics in low-resource settings, working in collaboration with clinical laboratories and pharmaceutical companies.
