The Caribbean Innovation Competition is still open!

Washington DC, November 30, 2018 - The Young Americas Business Trust (YABT) and the Organization of American States (OAS) is pleased to remind entrepreneurs throughout the Caribbean that registration for the 7thedition of the Caribbean Innovation Competition (CIC 2019) is still open; consolidated as an accelerator of innovative ideas developed by young entrepreneurs that address the most promising challenges in the Caribbean.


If you have an innovative solution and belong to one of the Member States or Associated States of CARICOM, CIC 2019 is the opportunity for you. CIC finalists in previous editions had the opportunity to compete with other entrepreneurs of the Americas, to validate their prototypes on an international scale and connect with key actors to leverage their ventures.


Finalists will not only receive tools to develop viable solutions, and scale them up as sustainable businesses, they will also receive a scholarship to participate in TIC Americas 2019 Finals, to be held in Colombia in June 2019. As well as the opportunity to compete for prizes which includes - among other things, monetary incentives, international visibility, certificate and award as one of the most innovative and promising ventures in the Caribbean.

The YABT works in conjunction with an extensive network of organizations to increase access to support services demanded by the community of entrepreneurs in the Caribbean, -  forming a new generation of leaders who, through their creativity, find solutions to the different challenges of the region. YABT is developing a series of training sessions and mentoring from the BootCamp, focused on key issues for the formulation and execution of the project, business strategy, development of business skills, access to markets and the use of tools to compete successfully; all this as part of the benefits of participating in the competition.
