Announcement of Winners of TIC Americas 2020!
Washington, D.C. July 2, 2020 - The Awards and Closing Ceremony of the 15th edition of the Talent and Innovation Competition of the Americas (TIC Americas), took place on July 2, through a virtual format ceremony. 22 Finalist teams competed for the Category prizes: Eco-Challenge 11.0, Startup Challenge and the Caribbean Innovation Competition.
Highlighted as a historical Awards Ceremony, for being the first in a virtual format due to the health emergency following the COVID-19 circumstances, recognition and visibility were provided to the young entrepreneurs who, despite the current situation taking place around the world, have assumed leadership in driving innovative solutions that have a significant impact on the community and the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals.
A total of five cash prizes in the amount of US $ 5,000 each were awarded by the Young Americas Business Trust and the program's partner and sponsor organizations: PepsiCo and the Organization of American States (OAS). In addition to this monetary incentive of seed capital for the winners, all the Finalists were awarded a benefits package that included mentoring, feedback from international experts, tailor-made training sessions, a promotional / media coverage campaign, and follow-up activities.

The Talent and Innovation Competition of the Americas (TIC Americas) is a hemispheric program that fosters economic and social development and the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through the promotion of innovation, entrepreneurship, and social responsibility.
